Had mine two years... just general wear and tear really. Nothing major. 4WS jobby itself the other day but a reset and 100miles down the road it's still fine.

Prelude's are old cars, they will have problems it's just the nature of the beast, luckily most can be sorted

Tbh the only problems I've had with mine are one's that I've created lol

bb4life wrote:its only done 64k, seems to have been well looked after too, the front fogs refuse to work, the cambelt auto tensioner failed, the speedo is very intermittent, and the needle doesnt light up, the cat blocked up so took it out, its still running really rich, it sometimes hestates the other times its fine, ive lost reverse gear, the front speakers dont work, the immoiliser packed up so i had that removed, the alarm randomly goes off, i had no end of trouble sorting the exhaust ut on it, i put a new stainles system on it, a few days later it broke the hanger bracket on the down pipe, leaving a massive hole, its doing my nut in! my landrover is less trouble!
Dude these problems are nothing to worry about. I am sorry your getting them though. The main concern here is the "running rich" and "hesitant" I think you need to look at the dizzy. Something could be failing . There is a trouble shooting guide in the manual.
I think you have an earthing issue on your fog lights. My old lude had a factory fitted alarm that unfortunately after time did the same thing. Thats old age for you. I dont know about the speedo not working sometime but I can fix your needle that dont light up.

Is it a JDM? Erratic speedo could be a dodgy MPH converter or not a brilliant connection when it's wired in

My last lude was completely standard, took it from 110k to 160k and this was only thing that went wrong
