Now, the B18 into a lightweight chassis with a total weight of ~500kg, and that'd be a nice little machine :)
B18 in a classic mini cooper I would love to do probably a c4 not a 6 though 170 is plenty in that case
I hit the limiter in my h23 vtec still didn't kick in

There is another VTEC mini that lives out Ormiston way in East Lothian, not sure what it has in it though.

Buy Alex' engine.

Surely that would be better suited and probably quicker.

Not sure if it got snapped up though seeing how much of a bargain it seemingly was.

How did i know you would reply with a face-palm image with no explanation to back it up.

Typical newkid reply. Unimaginative and pointless.

In a break from the norm, instead of inciting more verbal shenanigans I am going to suggest something so outrageous it may just keep the thread on topic...

Lewis, keep the H22 you have and leave it stock.

Save up some money for a second engine and build up a pile of parts in the meantime.

This way you can really think about what you're doing and not rush into anything and you're bound to come across bargains (such as the Skunk2 stuff that is/was up for pennies). Since you'll be saving money you will have cash waiting for engine mods and will more than likely be able to snap up the bargains fairly quick before any others have a chance to get in deposits etc. ;)

That's how I'd do it anyway. I think @mercutio is a sneaky muffin and has a decent stockpile of engine parts ready to all go together
