I had a Volvo 480ES. Kind of a metallic charcoal. Great car. They used to build them in the old DAF factory didn't they? Designed in the NL too.Fons[DutchGuy] wrote:Love 80's cars!!!
Had an volvo 480, the only volvo with pop-up lights ever built. Great little motor with a (IMO) sexy arse![]()
Shame I had to let her go
A bit under-rated I think. Not that powerful or that fast, but very light and handled pretty well. Good looking in an off-beat kind of way. And yeah, I too love pop ups

You only forgot to mention that they where extremely luxurious for its time. Mine was ES too and it's the only car I had and wish I still had it. Ill get a 1.5 turbo when I've got the (financial) room for a second car and keep it as my "classic"

The car is almost completely forgotten in the NL, they where surprised I showed up in one at the Volvo specialist

Good little community with the owners

*edit
turbo is a 1.7

Love sucks, true love swallows.
