Unlucky
at least you have a replacement! I'm sure everyone ripping into you has had similar accidents... I've pulled a bumper off a 406 (proper banger) by getting it caught on a gatepost and thinking oh i'll just keep going and it'll just scrape the plastic a bit... well it didn't just scrape it snapped some tabs and never fitted properly again
my dad just the other week was pulling onto his driveway in his works van and the dog was out so he swerved to avoid it and ended up driving into his own car

Could be worse. In 5 years of living in our house my sister in law stalled reversing out of our drive (hill start) and rolled into our house damaging her front bumper, my wife managed to scrape/dent the rear door and panel on our 3 day old mpv by hitting our gatepost when exiting the drive (didnt 'swing out' far enough
) and .... best of all
We had a SAAB 9-5. Again car parked on the incline pointing out of the drive. For those who have owned/driven SAAB's you will know they sit in reverse gear when parked and the engine off. She jumps in, turns the car on, takes the car out of reverse, puts the car in reverse, hits the accelerator and boom scrapes the nearside of the car from boot to front door down the side of the house and dislodged the gas box
Cost in excess of 2k in body work repairs AND had to wait 2 hours with all electricity off etc in the house while the emergency Gas Service came to check the gas line/box over.
You could argue we had only owned the SAAB for a month and she had forgotten. Unfortunately we had owned another SAAB for 4 years before that so she had no excuse. Silly bint!
5 years. 3 accidents by my wife or HER family within my property boundary

Hahaa, damn, that sucks man!!
I've had a friend crash her car into what I guess would be considered my front garden when I was in Canada. She pulled up to the cabin, and without thinking, just slammed the truck into park and did a nice little 4 wheel drift, which was nothing new as that's how I always parked the truck. However, she didn't see the tree stump, bounced off that, hit a tree (not a big one though) and managed to knock it down so it landed 3 feet from the front door!!! Opened the door and just saw a fallen tree just infront of the door, and I must say, I think the time between seeing that, realizing what happened and having to go to the toilet could be measured in nano seconds!
Never had any damage done to my cars on my property though!
