The way I was thinking, if we did have money in the kitty for things like this, we need to repair the marquee, where we can build a frame for the banner.

Maybe we need to open a dialogue with kawa when he has some free time, as Alex has said the server costs are top priority, without servers we'd have no forum!

EDIT: they do look a bit expensive for what they are...
And there he is!

Yes, £80 for a frame is a lot, so there must be a way of doing it cheaper ourselves

Ooooh, just had a better idea. I have a friend in printing who has this sort of kit laying around. He may do us a free lend in return for putting one of his banners up with or something...

Will drop him a text tomorrow

We could line up the cars like in the site logo, and just tape an X on the ground with a note 'for club banner stand here'

i build this stuff at work

Image

i may be able to get hold of a few beams and poles. they lock together using a 5mm star shape bit on a quarter inch ratchet. it would take about 2 minutes to assemble a 2m x 1m frame. then you can cable tie
(can also get hold of lots of these ;) ) the banner to it. when disassembled the gear wont take up much room.

would just need to anchor it down then.

I have a banner up here too, happy to post it to whomever?
