does seem to happen alot, for whatever reason

thats why I replaced mine anyway, as its done 145,000

Good shout Lude-dude. I have Ratty's second hand pulley but will eventually get a brand new one so it can be replaced when I get my timing belt done. 8-)

its common fault now as for age of part.

but also for few reasons:

wrong pulley installation procedure and wrong belts installation

Jozef, while I've got your attention. What is the correct belt size for Power steering belt?? I've been told soo many different sizes. :?
