i got my lude a year ago, no 4ws light and the fuse had been removed, so i refitted a fuse ,fitted a bulb and done the 4ws reset and have never had any problems....i'm guessing the majority of 4ws"problems" are attributed to people seeing ££££signs when the 4ws light comes on assuming its gonna cost them an arm and a leg to get fixed,I've read loads of 4ws fault posts and 90% of the time its a simple fix.preludebaz1977 wrote:so its not really something thats very prone to going wrong but some people are unlucky

yep thats what ive been reading up , it was a bit frightening lol but it makes sense if something gets broke then yu fix it .so i take it the 5th gen lude will be in a different league to the motor im currently driving am i correct ,my car drives terrible and handles crap as we replaced springs for spax lowered springs and never changed the shocks and 2 years later its got worse but only got to use it for another 2 mths ish.
Looking for a Gen5 Lude very soon....

just small things, like trying to find rattles/squeaks changing parts only to find its something else
but for a 15yr old car that cost me £400 the only major thing that has gone wrong is the crank pulley breaking...and i got that fixed for free thanks to people on this forum,
what im saying is for the money you cant go wrong with a lude imho

yeah im hoping that will be the case when im a lude owner , ive owned the v6 for 4 years and the most expensive part i had to replace was the clutch (which was the original one from 1997) and that cost me £350 all fitted from a great guy who did the job which took 7 hrs ,normal garages would of charged around double to triple the price.so not bad its been a great reliable car so far but honda lude ownership soon...
Looking for a Gen5 Lude very soon....
