Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Like Mercutio I have both and love/dislike both, but for different reasons. I love the rear of one and am not fond of its nose, love the face of the other but hate its ass :? .

Best Lude for day to day is the UK 99+, its the most complete package in my eyes when you take into account the ease of driving, the fuel it takes, lack of JDM tax, still gives 197bhp, and according to Honda figures is only 0.2 of a second slower to 60 than the Type-S. It's better than any other Lude for the whole package. To be brutally honest, if there was no such thing as the 99+ I would be a 4th genner

In my experience of 4th Vs 99+ 5th performance, the 99+ is faster round a track. Only after further weight reduction to my povo spec BB4 and over £1500 in parts could I get my 4th to lap the same or faster. But the 4th was way cheaper to get in the first place, has a larger selection of aftermarket parts, and when lowered with a nice lip the front looks badass .

So IMO yes the 4th is perhaps better than the UK 5th gen (if you ignore the in cabin inprovements), but the UK 99+ is better than both of them.

The only thing I miss about my H22a5 97 5th gen was that you could drop it in to 3rd at 70mph

Edit - no-one has mentioned the better feedback through the steering the 5th gives :?

Is that due to the rack or other factors? I've never heard of this before

Iv mentioned it a few times. The 5th Gen has noticeably much more feedback and is heavier so to speak.

Whats all this 5th Gen heavier nonsense. A BB1 and a BB8 weight roughly the same. Maybe 20kg extra on a 5th Gen.

I loved both of my 4th gens. I miss my Malachite Green one alot. Love that colour.

I bypassed something on the rack because when I did the auto to manual swap, there were pipes linked to the autobox, steering went firmer after that, dont worry though it still gets fed through the cooler. The pipes went from the rack to the VSS I think.

Well the chassis is more ridged.. the upper rear suspension are was strengthened.. i don't think the pump is different but thought the Rake is different? maybe wrong.
