I don't get much choice, Texaco on the fuel card and thats it, they run dry and I'll have to go for the contingency plan or not get paid. I work in Hinckley though Rob so if I know of any stations with fuel I'll let you know.

the light shows the last 10liters give or take. so going on a full tank getting you 400miles your looking at 1/6 of that which is 66.

so to be safe i wouldnt push it over 40-50 miles driving gently ;)

My light came on yesterday, thought I'd leave it a while before going out to fill up. Went out at 10pm, still had to queue for 10mins
Oh and this morning I went past a station 1.36/ltr cam back past this afternoon 1.38/ltr  robbing barstewards

From when my light comes on (and stays on) I can get 40-45 miles before I bottle it, but by then I end up getting 55-56 litres in... so it really is quite low.

but thats still 4L. i worked out once that i got about 4.5 miles to the pound. (before the recent hikes) so you should be able to get the prospected 65. maybe

i guess the only way to know is when the light comes on reset your counter and fill a jerry can :o

Where's the guy that tested VTEC in reverse? I'm sure he'd be up for something like this to try out

Okay my light came on the other day so I reset the counter. I sort of forgot about it until yesterday and then cacked myself on the way to work when I noticed that then needle was a good few mm under the empty line. I went to fill up and noticed I'd clocked 57 miles on the red light. I'm not sure how much more I could've got exactly but I will say the car didn't even splutter or anything, no conking out on roundabouts either!

Who knows what gunk I've dragged out of the fuel tank though :?

right, where does the petrol pump pick up the fuel? bottom of the tank? doesnt matter if its full, half full, full of chickens, half full of nitin spunk, it always picks up fuel from the bottom! gravity dictates heavy crap sinks to the bottom where the fuel is picked up from, at all point!
