You have to feel sorry for the kids, if not up to the last 3 generations. If they are brought up in complete solitude, then they won't have known anything different.

Having Aussie relative I WILL take offence to any derogatory comments, wah, etc.
On a serious note though, I wonder how many more situations there are like this? Must be tons. Especially in such large countries with sparse population.
