Anyone know their civics?

I have the chance to buy a crash damaged 04 ep2 3 door civic this weekend with 90k for next to nothing.
apparantly its mechanically sound so it looks like all it needs is a new headlight, wing and bumper.

Now im looking on ebay and a lot of ep3 stuff is coming up, but not a lot of ep2 stuff, they look the same to me, so my question is are they gonna be interchangeable?

Yes they are. The EP2 is a great car. Very reliable IMO.

Only thing that isn't direct fit on bodywork is the spoiler as have different rear screens for some reason so needs modifying

well its just front end damage, so no worries there. i was hoping to do it up to sell it on and make a bit of cash. unfortunately as a 3 door its no good to me otherwise it would have replaced my daily drive.

Is the damage recorded? I would be very careful tryin sell it on if it is! A Lot of people will not touch a damage repaired car including myself. Last thing you want to do is pay out money you might not get back

Selling it crashed then repaired is fine as long as you take pics of the damage, the repairs, then the end result. So any potential buyers can see what it was like and what's been done.

Older cars get written off with minimal damage, sometimes all you need to do is change a bumper.

I'll be honest, I have no issues buying crash damaged repaired cars. If the body work is well finished chances are they haven't skimped on the other stuff, why would they?

Crack on bud and make yourself a few quid. Just do it properly

Unfortunately it sold before i had the chance to get out there. shame but it was always gonna be a risk if i was gonna make the money back on it or not. being as im a bit skint at the moment and right before christmas its probably for the best i guess.
