My TV recorder is now showing the air date for the new series as 26th January
What I can't understand is they aren't showing the "Christmas Special" until March......

They released the Christmas Special as a DVD over Christmas, so putting it on tele too early wouldn't have been good for sales!

When are they going to bin Hammond and May? Might start watching again then.

Jk and Hammond did other BBC projects instead of top gear special. They will be aired this week. Something about an Antarctic journey.
Top gear is still the best and people will still moan and say they have had enough and still watch it. Want a review of an everyday car, go to the garage and drive it yourself.

The Perfect Road Trip wasn't the Christmas special. They have filmed another "special" before Christmas but it's not due to air until March. I think maybe it's not so much Christmas related as much another feature length episode, like the Bolivia or Africa specials they've done.

They're fine in their own segments, alone.
But all three of them together it's cringeworthy, the script is too obvious. Maybe I expect too much, after all they're not actors I guess.
I don't mind the program and all it's frivolity, I don't care that it's not a real review and the specials are a setup or whatever people say, I just don't like the three of them together that much when they try to make jokes or play these 'surprise' pranks on each-other

I enjoy TG but I find some of the 'mishaps' too staged. Still good fun tho
