Peeps, typing on my phone as i think my pc has been hacked.
On the net, macafee notification pops up ' unauthorised connection from IP address.....'
So i shut laptop down using standard shutdown procedure.

Start up laptop one hour later and within 5 mins of neing on web, same notification pops up.
Shut PC down straightaway using power switch.

Afraid to use pc as they are obviously getting notifications ss doon as get on web.

What kind of damage/risks am i open to and what can i do to get the fuckers off.

Browsing history/ cookies automatically deleted when closing windows, never save passwords etc.

Computer automatically connects to net when booting up.

Using windows xp.

Can anyone help please...

Cheers,

Marc

It's probably not hacked, but a malware/spyware/trojan trying to get out and contact it's server.

Booting into safemode and running virus scans should clear it out for you.

Also, kudos on deleting your browsing history ;) nudge nudge

Worst case you could turn your router off just now while you clean it out?

At boot up, keep pressing F8, you'll get a menu to select safe mode

It's worth downloading and running Malwarebytes, to check for and remove malware. Free to download too, from here - http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php

Glad it's sorted, but I get a similar notification when my router detects my phone or my surround sound stereo connecting to my home network...

At a hotel, with the laptop, and deleting browsing history.

That must be some ultra filth :scaredtoss:
