I have watch a few videos of this on youtube and it seems pretty fool proof. I like the idea of changing my car couler a few times a year. Has anyone used this stuff? Dose it work? Would you use it? Your general thoughts on it?

It is good if you're changing color a few times a year, eventually it will wear and tear on a few places. I'm going to use it on my alloys to decide in what color I will powdercoat them

I bought some ages ago to do some wheels, but not got round to it yet. Not read anything bad about it yet, just make sure you go genuine though, as a lot of copies aren't up to it.

As far as doing a whole car a few times a year goes though, I doubt you will. It's not cheap and you'll need a lot of cans to do a whole car. They suggest 2-3 cans for a good coating on just a set of wheels. Otherwise you can use a spray gun and as usual it works out cheaper, but you're still looking at a grands worth of the stuff for proper coverage.

Dout it would cost a grand pal. As there people over here would do the whole car for 5or 6 ton. Extra for wheels though

Sorry, slip of the tongue. It's recommended 3-4 US gallons of the stuff to do 4-5 coats on a car, so that's going to equate to about £300 if you're using a gun.

If using 400ml cans for the same volume you'd be looking at a grand.

Yep, costs around £300 in paint for a full car. As Nafe said go for the actual brand 'Plasti Dip' brand, others leave rough textured finishes.

I think im am going to buy a cheap spray gun like "fonsey" uses on YouTube. Me and my mate are going to do are ludes at the same time when it gets warmer. Lots of prepping to do first and have to fit the bubble kit also. I love the perfect matt finish in wte coulor I want.

I had nothing to do with that

We're (me and a friend) currently doing a lot of testing for plasti-dip before opening up as a plasti-dipping company.

We will be doing wheels/loose panels/trims etc to start with a quick turn around and a professional quality finish. Our tests have been successful so far and we are very happy with the results.

We have a unit to work out of in bromsgrove, that is heated and weather tight.

If anyone is interested in a quote for anything car related to be sprayed then drop me a PM. I can send over examples of work and the results, including peelabilty results showing how easy it is to change.
