Honda and Porsche

I am catching up with the latest season of Wheeler Dealers and saw the bit about the 933's and how it uses a similar intake system as the Prelude, as in both have variable length intakes. Porsche also use FRM cylinder liners and some have 4WS.
Who is copying who here?

VTEC is made by Honda first, other companies made their versions later.
As for 4WS it was invented in early nineties and was used mostly in tractors. As for normal cars, I think that also Honda was quicker here with III-gen Prelude.

Honda was the 1st production car to use 4ws but actually started working on it in the early 80s.

Oh sorry. Still sleepy today, didn't read it correctly. But I think that Honda was one year earlier with whole engine construction than Porsche with this model.

Most episodes are on Youtube, I'm trying to search for one with 933 but nothing is coming up.. A lot of 928 and 944 videos though..

its from the current series so may not be on youtube but will be on the discovery channel website

I'm going to ignore any facts here and just guess.
Porch copied Honda.
Because if it was the other way around, Porch would make sure everybody knew about it.

honda was first buddy porshe was still using the downdraft intakes used when they run carbs when honda was using variable intakes
