Bollocks!

Post by paul bristol uk » Sat Apr 05, 2014 9:06 pm

In emptying my kitchen waste bin i managed to drop it onto the soarer front wing and put a dink in the thing about the size of a 10p.(no damage to paint) Is it worth trying to push it back from underneath or leave it to the pro's. I have seen my guy put a sheet of card over something similar and use a welding torch to pull it back again with no paint damage?
I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

I had something very similar to the red handled thing here:

If you have something similar it's worth a shot. It worked for some smaller dings with a bit of heat.

Honestly all these tricks are useless. Get a pdr guy to do it. The dent needs to be massaged out from the edges inwards to the deepest point.

Is the wing still on the car?
If not and the back of the dent is accessible, use the same part of the waste bin and bash it back from the inside!
This is a semi-serious suggestion. A planishing hammer or a piece of wood shaped as a dolly should get it back if you're not too brutal with it.

If the wing's fixed to the rest of the car and you can't get at the dent, go back to plan B and get some help.
