Had my MOT this morning, and it didn't go well!!

First off, when I got home from work yesterday the car looked like this:

What this pic doesn't show, is there is no rear bumper and all interior panels are removed, seats removed and seatbelts removed!!

So Confused came over with some light sources and we set to work!

Finished at 10pm with the bumpers attached, rear lights on, headlights on and aligned against the wall.

Started again this morning at 9:30am refitting the seatbelt anchors, then the rear seats, then the front seats. Then was time to test the battery which has been on charge for 4 days. It started!! but only just!! Anyway this showed that the joins at either end of the cat were blowing, so off comes the cat, on goes the evil assembly paste, and it all goes back together. Try again, it starts and all is sealed up.

Pack everything away, go to start and........nothing. Battery is dead. We jump start it and no problem there. Test voltage and is showing 14.5v so alternator is working, just the battery is exceptionally dead!

Anyway, the tester (who was new at the garage since I last went and has a Skyline so is jap enthusiast) manages to get through the test with a spare battery hooked up to my car with jump leads, and this is the result:

Fog light and hazard switch are due to there being no console in, easy fix!

Headlamp aim he's done already.

So just need to get 2 new CV gaitors and sort out the rear brake (most likely handbrake cable siezed as the footbrake was fine) and sort the passenger washer jet.

Small bit of welding, but as I don't have the kit to do it that will be left to the garage to do.

It seems like a big list, but its all easy, silly jobs, so I wouldn't stress.

Yeah I'm not stressed by it, like you say all releatively easy jobs, although the CV gaitors are gonna get messy!

He's also told me not to worry about the emmisions, he'll make sure it passes!!
