I am thinking about buying a dc5 and was wondering how it would stack up against my bb4 performance wise as I really dont want to be disappointed? Im sure that some you guys have been head to head on a track days with a dc5. Maybe you have owned one and you can give me some more info on what to expect? Are they worth the money :? ? I love the exclusiveness and the way they look is jaw dropping.....!
Thanks in advance for any input.

Every time you look at it you will wonder why you bought a jumped up Civic coupe with HRV headlights. Then you will drive it and wonder why you paid so much for so little.

You will wonder why the performance is roughly the same as a better looking prelude and 8 times more expensive.
I do like them but they are not a step up over the 90s performance Honda's.

They look ok, not really much faster than a lude. If you want a new Honda i'd go for an S2000 personally. Plus DC5's are stupid money, usually 6-7k. If you have that in the bank, the choice is huge. R33 GTR, 3000gt, 300zx, evo's, S2000, 240sx.

Really guys? I've never come against one but have drove a few and they feel much faster?
I couldn't beat a standard ep3 a few months back could I @ludeswamp  granted my timing was on 8 but anyway.
And a dc5 easily beats an ep3.

Then factor in same mods on dc5 as a Lude, breathing mods full exhaust and Kpro would see the dc5 around 250bhp

Surely faster.. :scaredtoss:

They are over priced abit though lol

Right fair play. Was that with you 25gram race car
I suppose the thing with Hondas is that they are all very close to each other so there a re so many variables that can make a difference.

K20 dc2 is better value for money with regards to buying honda, or likewise skyline gtr. Dont be fooled into buying a dc5 and then spending more money on it just to get it that bit faster round a track.,,

They are mega expensive for what they are, that's for sure.

You will get way more respect turning up at any modified or jap car meet in one of those than in a lude though, that's the sad truth :(

Your right there mate.

I personally like them a lot.
Unfortunately It's the type r badge that makes Hondas popular the prelude never had that so were never "mainstream" if you follow.
