Hi all on the way to get a altenator replaced on a lude the check engine light came on and im getting Cel code 4 which is apparently the cps (crank position sensor) does anyone have any idea where this is located and roughly how much it will cost? Any help appreciated

H22 uses a sensor in the distributor for the crank speed signal irrc.

Thanks for the replys guys I will check the distributor tomorrow. I really hope it is this and not the crank position sensor by the timing belt

I think on most 5ths (all except type s?) the crank sensor is hidden behind the bottom pulley near the cambelt. 4ths have them in the dizzy.

@mercutio out of interest are you running a 4th or 5th gen? My query is in regards to a 5th. In the 4th the cps was in the dizzy they apparently moved it in the 5th

Got it fixed

turns out it was a corroded plug going to the ecu. Just as a update on the h22a5 the ckp is in the dizzy like the 4ths. According to honda only the jdm engines have them below the crank pully
