Not a good day at the track.

Well it's finally happened, he let go today after 8yrs of hard work.
It started as an apprehensive visit to Combe due to weather. However it did dry up mostly after lunch and I was warming him in nicely. A couple of sessions in and reducing my pressures each time to stop the sliding. I was increasing my times steadily then blue smoke........ BANG....black smoke....... stop. It would appear Peter no longer likes the rod in cylinder 3 and threw it out.
Not sure the best course of action now but I'm genuinely sad.
