I've almost been run over by a Prius twice  both times by taxis driving through pedestrian zones which they have access to drive through. I've also almost been run over by an electric motorbike in the same place. I know I should have been paying more attention, but cars that are almost silent at low speed are drokking dangerous imo. You don't realise how important the noise of an engine is to your awareness of traffic around you until it isn't there.

Well, that's grounds enough to have your man card revoked.

This "prius" will out pull a prelude though.

When the prelude is stuck on the drive with the engine in bits 'allegedly' getting built, I don't doubt it!

Next door neighbour has friends with a Prius. Last time they visited the front wings were very bent and i asked if he'd had a prang, but it turned out someone used a forklift on it one night when it was parked outside his house to lift it up and try to steal the batteries (which are worth thousands of pounds apparently)!

Good. More petrol for the rest of us.

In all seriousness though, I've considered getting a CRZ eventually to cut my daily fuel costs so I can spend more on my project/s. It's not a bad idea if you think of it that way...
