Love these programmes. The better halfs has been going nuts over the last few weeks as I have recorded and watched every episode on! Just wish I was as good as Edd Chyna - makes things look so unbelievably easy. Soooo Armed with my trusty Halfords Socket set I went to work on the transport over the weekend.
1. Refit my wife's cars Heat shield that had worked loose. Snapped every f**** rusty bolt that held it on, then had to drill out every hole before refitting
2. Lift my daughters saddle on her wee bike. Saddle was still loose and eventually over torqued the bolt shearing it too. New nut/bolt required
3. Stripped down my rear caliper that was binding. Pads fused to the disk (both only a year old) and eventually when I got the caliper clear of the disc the pads crumbled in my hand. A new Caliper needed me thinks or it will cost a fortune in new pads every year
4. Went for the KISS acronym. My Cube hardtail recieved a new cassette and chain after issues since I bought it. Lubed the chain took it out in front of the house to lube the cassette, powered down and SNAP went the chain and a big off the bike went me taking loads of skin off the palm of my hand, finger and a big bruise at the back of my knee let alone a dent to my pride having an off outside my fromt window. Gave up -threw everything in the shed and spent the rest of the night licking my wounds and getting drunk
