Interesting. Reminds me a bit of the Internationals joining the Spanish civil war. Although obviously these guys have a military background.

What do you professionals think of these guys then? I mean less the trained soldiers, more the amateurs (if there were any of those)? Jut curious.

well it depends really I have met and worked with some very good what you would call mercenaries I have also met some walters who don't know which end of the weapons is the really dangerous end :lol:

some people do it for money some do it for the reputation

I also (when I was in the RAF) played an interforces football competition in which one of the teams the players were all on the scoreboard as John smith :lol: 22 reg

a load of dutch have gone as well apparently. they changed the law so they could go and come back or something.

What's interesting is whether it's any more legal to do that, than it is to go out there and fight for ISIS?
What would be the difference (legally) as to why someone would be prosecuted on return from fighting for one, but not the other.

exactly double standards really I suppose isis is classed as a terrorist organisation and the peshmurga are not yet a terrorist group
