Ok the bosses son has reversed his amerock into my lude I could cry, it has smashed in the driver's side rear quarter panel. I can get a new one from Honda but then the spray shop are going to want around £1600 to fix it, I hope this isn't a write off as it's driving so nice currently :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Your bosses' son's insurance company should be paying out to return your car to the standard it was prior to their customer's negligence. Get on the phone to them, and tell them that the only outcome you will accept is a total repair.

As it is not your fault, do NOT instruct your own insurance company to undertake the work, simply inform them of the incident, and tell them that you are dealing with the 3rd party's insurance company directly.

By instructing your own company to do the work, you are more likely to have your vehicle written off.

Rubbish luck, sorry to hear that mate. Hope it's not too bad. Pics and we can give you our thoughts?

You'd be better off not putting this through any insurance tbh - far simpler/quicker and no impact on either parties insurance, if your boss will go for that?

Also, I'm afraid I have to complete disagree with Confused on this one... Don't even inform your insurance company about it - they have no reason to know at all, if the claim is being dealt with by the other persons insurance or directly.
In this instance, even if it does go through insurance, YOU aren't making a claim, the other driver is so there is nothing to log against YOUR insurance.
If you do tell your insurer, it will be logged and it may affect your insurance premiums in future (yes, non-fault claims logged against your insurance history are taken into account by some insurers when calculating future premiums).

Don't let the fact your bosses son is a complete tuckfard stop you from claiming as is your right, as the guys say above, let the insurance company sort it out!

Bad luck though hope it gets sorted!!
