Are Lings Honda owned? Are they good?

Hi Gents,
Who are these Lings guys? Looking at their site where I'm also registered (sent them my chassis number and there's my car!), I wondered if they're Honda owned.
They seem to have every nut, bolt, screw and washer to rebuild a Prelude so are they our go-to guys for parts and stuff?
Just interested to hear what you have to say as I can't ever remember seeing a recommendation from anyone here to "get it/them from Lings".
Ta, Simon.

I got couple of bits from Lings. Items were as described and arrived really quick too.
Their sites are really good as well, they have all the diagrams of all parts so you know excatly where everything is.

Hi Nitin, yes I agree the diagrams look very comprehensive (actually, the help me understand a little more about the workings of the car). Ok, well it seems like you've given them the thumbs up so thanks for that.
Is it a Honda subsidiary company do you think?

OEM parts but at Honda prices.
Good for those parts where second-hand won't do.

Ah, I see. So basically more expensive but they are the genuine thing. Ta.

Lings are a garage with a contract with Honda, same as any other main Honda dealer. Just that they offer an online part service which most dealers don't.
Get Lings part number and price, go into your local Honda dealer with part number and you probably find the price is identical, less the P&P!
Honda stuff normally comes into the dealer within a day or 2, most stock is held at the Honda warehouse in South Marston in Swindon or at worse, takes a day or two to come from Honda Belgium. This will be the same for Lings if it isn't in stock with them.

Only fast moving stuff is kept in the UK. So for Preludes, unless it's a part that's shared with newer models then generally (due to the age of the car) the stuff now all comes from Belgium or even Japan (up to a week).
The Belgium centre is the European distribution centre. For a dealer in Malaysia, I'd expect that would be serviced directly from Japan???

I've nothing good to say about Lings really, other than their diagrams are helpful.
Customer service in person is drokking bum droppings. Postage is a rip off.

Never dealt with lings in person but online they are spot on (apart from postage costs as mentioned above)
