Hey all,

Wondering if it is possible to transport a 5th gen rear bumper in a 5th gen?

Anyone done it? If so, how hard was it to get in the car and how was the driving experience?

I have very limited time to collect and "install" the bumper

Also, someone is going to have to drive for at least 10 hrs with it in place  (if it fits??)

You can get a 4th gen bumper in a 4th gen without a passenger easy enough, so it'd be safe to say it'll be easier in a 5th gen.

the rear seats in a 5g fold down so you really should be able to fit a rear bumper in if you fit one in a 4g you can deffo fit one in a 5g

I'm sure it will.

Passengers seat as flat and far back as it will go, then bumper from the passengers footwell across to the drivers rear seat.
If there's no support bar it will bend slightly if needed.

I think it will be too wide to fit through the rear to the boot sitting on its side. And the sides too tall to lye flat in the boot.

Thanks for the input gentlemen :D

For the record, it does fit. Don't bring a passenger though! ;)
