I dont think ANY rain repellant nor super slippery glass cleaner will win a joint effort by RAIN + SubZero temps = Icy Frost :-(

Ok
1st winter with frost when I dont have HEATED WINDSCREEN.
1. What do people recommend on windscreen?
- sit in car with heating (if i can get in thru frozen stiff door!)?
- de-icer?
- warm water?
- scraper (impossible with icy frost!)?

2. On door (i not tried, but guess its frozen stiff)?

3. Sunroof?
- ok, just kiddin ;-)

4. Now, do i risk operating the popups?
- if not, when is it safe to?

Warm water will do. Hot enough so you can put your hand in it.

I do it every frosty morning on the van. Does the job fine.

The alcohol sprays work fine but I find it can be aggressive on wax on paintwork.

put a blanket over it at night. The old ways are sometimes the best. No need to heat water and no need to waste resource melting ice if there is no ice to melt...
