Anyone gone from normal sky to Sky+ HD?
Folks are still on a sky box that's about 10 years old, so no + function and deffo no HD
Just wondering if they can swap to a + HD box and what the costs would be (They only have a basic sky package)
Also I have a sky + HD box and dish for my own room (separate system) but + doesn't work unless you pay sky
If I got them to take out multi room I'd get the same channels and be able to record?
Basically bit confused by all the options

sky hd- guy comes out and fits new lnb to existing dish costs £10 month extra
sky multiroom- extra hd boxes in each room (the offer i got -got new 1TB box for living room used existing HD box for bedroom and you get an extra HD box but with no record function) you can get a recording box but costs extra.
with multiroom each box receives same channels as per subscription and costs £10.25 per extra box
hope this makes sense

I have gone from Sky (normal) to Sky+ HD.
Now I pay £45ish a month with almost all HD channel (including all the Sky Sports HD).
The HD box was free if I took out their basic HD channel pack.
It's a rape but the quality is sooooooo amazing on my 42 HD Tv...

We can't get cable either.
I'm in a cul-de-sac 100 yards long, the main raid we come off has cable, why couldn't they have just run the cable the extra 100 yards up our road?!

They would need to run about 5 miles of cable for us, so don't think that will happen EVER! lol
