I have pulled or torn my Hamstring today(don't know which until I talk to Doc tomorrow)
Not a sports injury I felt it go stepping back from the cooker in the Kitchen. If its not painful to drive I will give it ago and as you know I use elbow crutches so I will give walking a go. Sitting with a bent knee is OK and I use 2foot driving(left foot brake right foot throttle) anyway. So I am hoping to get out.(auto's can be useful for those who deride them!)
Any one on the forum got any cures please post them as well this is not a private forum for the old folks club!

They normally recover thru rest quite quickly... And most likely a pull... If you tore it you would be limping in pain.
Just go docs, in the meanwhile a hot water bottle and painkillers.

minimum painkillers but more buprophen so you dont use it without thinking about it. take any infflamation down but keep the pain. pain is a good think in these situations. it tells you when to bloody well sit down and stop pushing it
Good luck mate.

I have Morphine patches and Tramacet for my other problems so I have upped that but as you can see that is not working by the time of this post. Yes best advice you have given me is sit on my arrse for a couple of days. My Doc is pretty good if I ring him, He usually rings back in 20 mins and gives me an appointment same day if needed. This time if he wants to see me though he will have to come to me or have a pushchair waiting when I drive up!

Unfortunately I had and I had to do a few things today That will be a subject of another post in a day or two because I will need some car advice but I am not up to a convoluted post at the moment . It felt a lot better this morning but I am back to almost square one tonight. Tomorrow unless the bloody house is on fire I am taking your advice mate!
