If you are not aware he is being raked over the coals for using the apparently outdated term 'coloured' while stating his disaffection at the share of prizes and opportunities available to black actors.
Seriously. Is there a website where you can keep up to date with the vagarise of social acceptance?
The main charity in the USA for race equality is NAACP. Thats the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.....
The world.....gone mad.
It seems to me if you use a term long enough it becomes offensive just by association.
No one seems to be hearing what Benedict was actually saying, which is a shame because he was making real sense.

Totally agree James, I said the exact same thing to my missus last night when it got reported.
Absolutely ridiculous that he is being dragged over the coals for what he said when he was in actual fact championing the cause of the black/coloured/non white or whatever term you are supposed to use these days.
Waaaaay too many people with chips on their shoulders looking for a fight

ALways known colours isnt a correct term and my mates hated it. I was the minority of white people at college in Leicester.
Stick with black white and brown.
But it all of alot of fuss for notthing. Feel sorry for Cumberwank.

thats really amusing at the same time as being really scary.
Its obviously a shame on the species that we need to use race distinction in the first place. I would normally describe a person of a different race to me by the car they drive
, ''You know nitin? Drives a type S yeah?'' but I guess you need to expand the descriptive for groups. Especially when inequality is still obvious.
Roll on the day we are all a sort of mid sandy brown due to race intermarriage!! Can you imagine the things we will be able accomplish if no one thinks they are automatically better because of the amount of pigment in their skin.
Its ironic the one thing that means you get more in this society is that you have less of something
