Crazy mot advisory?

Post by ADS1 » Sun May 24, 2015 11:21 am

During my 4th gen's recent mot, i had the following advisory. Please note, this is a stock 4th gen bodywork wise.
Advisory note/trims fitted to outer sills!!!
I'm assuming they mean the plastic sill trims, fitted to all 4th gen preludes? Anyone else ever had this?
Unfortunately, i was unable to speak to the mechanic, and the guy in the garage office was unable to comment.

i take it that they mean you have sideskirts and they cant check the condition of the sills for corrosion - oem or aftermarket it wont make any difference as i think they are not allowed to remove them - so they put a note in your advisory to say this is why they havent checked - sort of just covering their arses :)
nothing to worry about

Thought that was what it would be, but strange that i have not had this before, in 10 years of ownership.
