What's it worth?

Hi guys,

I am thinking about putting my 1999 'V' Prelude Motegi for sale. She was purchased around March 2015 for £2000 and in that time, I have had the driver's rear arch rust removed, plate welded in and sprayed for £600 and had the two rear wheel bearings replaced for £500. At the min, the car makes a clicking noise when pulling off but the two garages that I have visited are unable to find the cause and believe this is a common fault?

The car has 99k miles on the close with partial service history (most MOT and invoices). The car has usual stone chips but no dents around the body. The wheels need a refurb and the exhaust makes a slight blow, though Kwif fit don't seem to believe me, however I think there is a year left on the exhaust warranty.

The car has MOT until 27th September though I will put 12 months on her prior to selling her to ensure piece of mind for potential new owner. I believe she is San marino red but like most red hondas, she has become more pink around the top of doors, roof. I don't expect to make any money from the car, but what would people pay for a car of this condition / age?

I did think it was expensive, but the garage replaced them and then invoiced me... that was my first and last visit... cheers bud!

Car looks nice. Rare colour for a 5g.

Don't know anything about a clicking noise being a 'common fault'...

Do you think around £1500 would be reasonable?

That relatively low. You should easily get £1500. I'd ask for £2000 and that'll allow someone to attempt to haggle.

I should think £2000 would be reasonable to ask, as Nafe says. I wouldn't take less than £1500. Shame it's red really, I know that any other colour would make me willing to pay more.
