Ok, not been much in the way of good news to talk about...

But I stumbled on some amusing/typically jdm funky stuff today. They name each of their power units and give them a face etc and each one has their own twitter feed  8-) :jdm:

and Fin are the current ones

Some previous ones;

One of which was greyhawk

etc.

Anyway, I like it. It's more interesting than just quoting serial numbers  and like I say, typically japanese :D

And how the stuff works

(which at least it generally does now, even if not yet at a high enough power...)

Got to love the quirkiness. But I'd prefer to see a quicker engine from Honda. Please Honda. PLEASE!!!!

I'll second that. Frankly this foray back into F1 has been rather embarrassing hasn't it? Come on lads, sort it out, pronto.

It's very frustrating as clearly mclaren have a good chassis. And drivers. Yet the Honda power unit is just so poor.
Such a shame. I was really hoping to see Hamilton and Alonso racing for the title.

You think? I'm not entirely sure that is the case, tbh - certainly until the last couple of races, anyway.

I have a feeling when the power unit output comes up more (which I expect it will again before the end of the season - I'd be amazed if there isn't a major power hike by Suzuka!) it might then start exposing some weaknesses in the chassis... :?

I hear what you're saying Iain but the upgrades from Honda have not translated into what you'd call, stellar increases in performance have they?
I just wonder how disillusioned the top brass at Honda are getting this right now? Lord knows how much they've thrown at this programme and at this rate, I bet the F1 engine department is going through money at a rate of knots.
Remember, it's not too long ago they just pulled the plug on their F1 team, citing the global economic downturn as the predominant factor for the decision.
What's now happening in China and the potential negative effects that may cause, (there's ripples happening here in Asia as we speak), could be making Honda very nervous indeed.
I do wish them well as I'd love to see a return to the halcyon days of Senna/Prost and the name Honda synonymous with winning and innovative engineering. Have to wait and see, I guess.

Not doing too badly in MotoGP or Moto3, though.
