Ive got to clean my K&N cotton cone filter.

Now i have the oil but run out of the K&N filter cleaner.

Are there any products people have used before to clean the filter.

Its an oiled cotton gauze, so im thinking something like a reasonable solution of fairy liquid in warm water should do the job in a spray.

Ive also got a container of Autosmart G101 degreaser. Is this likely to be too harsh even if diluted? It is solvent free.
Can anyone help?

After using the K&N cleaner you rinse with water. So I'd say use something water based like fairy, not solvent based. I might be tempted to use some dishwasher powder/tablet, that's about the best water based de-greaser I know of!
