I will (probably) need to buy a new car pretty soon, so im after suggestions/advice on what to replace my current works car with.

I currently have a 2012/13 Skoda Octavia Estate Greenline.
My minimum requirements for the new one are;
- 4 doors
- not French
- as fuel efficient as possible

Im not sure whether to go brand new, go for a lease car, buy a 2nd hand car just a few years old, or something around 10 years old.

Im currently heading down the road of a Honda Accord Tourer 03-08, but the new car doesn't particularly have to be an estate car.

Who's paying?
Leasing is a bit of a never-ending cycle they get you into...

If you can afford the cash outlay, I would always recommend buying used.

Since you are handy with tools and understand cars I wouldn't buy a new car or get one leased.

New cars / hire purchase are better for people who don't want to worry about MOT's and servicing etc... it is more convenient but you ultimately pay over the top for it.

Civic 2.2 Diesel? A great family car.

:lol: can you turn in into a Flintstones style machine? or maybe we should get another cheapo gearbox for it and turn it into a Top Gear style convertible people carrier :lol:
