5th Gen Sunroof - Light Transfer

Hi all,

Just wondering how much light the standard 5th gen sunroof lets through?

I'm currently debating whether to swap just the panel or the whole mechanism to retain the sun shade, but it's a lot of hassle if the panel isn't all that bad.

The OH has suggested I could tint the panel also to help darken it.

I decided to go glass panel only and can honestly say it's never given me an issue at all, even in very bright sunshine.
I don't even notice it TBH. It's tinted to an extent anyway.

It looks tinted from factory, so thought that was the case!

My other thought is that if it's sunny out, the roof will probably be open anyway

I tried that recently, the glass sunroof was far too proud of the roofline. About 10mm. There's no way I could adjust it with the shims.

It'd be either drop the whole sunroof assembly, which would be hassle, or make new mounting brackets, which would be a hassle.

So I put the original sunroof panel back on and went home.
