Help and thoughts.

Hi all,

I've owned a 4th gen bb2 for nearly 10 years now. Was a crashed damaged car, when bought, and I bought it for the engine to put in my at the time car being a civic coupe. The crash damaged wasn't registered as far as I'm aware.

I got in it when I bought it and fell in love with the car. So my ideas changed. I started browsing and found various things I liked. Turbo kit wide arch kit and ideas went wild. In the time I've had it, I was self employed, employed and everything in between. So I went from having no money and lots of time to lots of money and no time. It's become a bit of a joke with friends, as I've and it so long and it's still not on the road.

So I've come to the forum a to get involved with other people who share my love of this great car, and also to seek advice.

Do I finish my project car, which could take a long time, or do I sell up and free the space??

Few facts.
Bb2 '92 prelude h23a 4ws
Has wide arch kit
Turbo kit
Coilovers
Grooved discs all round
Custom exhaust

It's in my 98yr old aunts garage
It's a 24 year old car
I have opportunity to work in NZ

So with all this in mind, what are people's thoughts and if to sell, how much do you think I'd get for it? I know it's hard to tell with out seeing it but it's a project car. I've spent a lot on it, but I know I'm not going to get all that back.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve, Welcome to the club :)

First of all lets see this wide arch kit! :D

How much needs to be done to finish it?

But also how long is the job in NZ for? And the likelihood of getting it?

Thanks Nathan

I'll have to dig out a picture from my laptop. (I'm on my iPad currently)

Erm, not a lot I don't think, but that said you always find stuff that need doing when you've spent time away from things.

New windscreen
Fitting of front bumper
The exhaust needs some attention as I had to fit a kicked out sump after the original rusted through.
Front lights need wiring in.
Wing mirror needs modding to be the same as other side (indicator has been cut in)
Tidying up of bodywork and painting.
Fitting of walbro fuel pump too I think.

Job in NZ could be the rest of my life, if I like it over there. Likely hood of getting it, well, when I travelled there, the family I stayed with, he said if you want a job let me know. So pretty likely.

Not a huge amount of things to do then. The majority of those things could be one a weekend.

Would be nice to know you have an opportunity like that in somewhere such as Netherlands :)

Welcome. that looks pretty good actually! Larey, but good 8-)
New Zealand would be cool I expect, probably not worth turning down if the job is also good, but... finish the Lude first? :D

(There are plenty on here with long term projects BTW, so don't worry about the time ;) )
