Reminiscing (10 years ago...)

Post by stan » Sat Mar 26, 2016 11:24 am

Having a bit of a reminsce today, I was looking through my old photos and found that on 12th March 2006 I attended the first PUK Norfolk meet, so 10 years and 2 weeks ago to be exact!

Not entirely sure how the other cars turned up, I think they were just driving around, saw us and joined us  Apologies for the awful photos!!

Nothing amazing, but it still showed there were a few locals who liked to meet up! (three 4th gens and a 5th gen.... not exactly a massive meet, but this was still in the early days of PUK, the forum had only been up and running for 8 months)

2 months later we had another meet up Yarmouth with a few more ludes (this was where somehow I managed to remove Confuseds dash wiring loom, and we snipped and soldered until he had EL guages installed - proper A-team effort :P )

And who can forget JAE from 2006... the Prelude UK stand got obliterated by the thunderstorm! We got a bit wet trying to take the marquee down

The storm approaching....

A quick vid of us trying to hold the marquee down!

Thankfully the weather was a bit better for Japshow 2006

Think this is Rob?

As an added bonus, I don't even know if anyone who is on here came to this... the Muckleburgh meet where we went round a tank museum? Looks like Oldgit (RIP) was there. Lovely bloke, only met him twice though but was always helpful! No idea who the two 3rd genners were, but they were lovely examples. This was 2007 (time really does fly!)

Anyway, just thought some people may be interested in seeing these. For me it has brought back a lot of good memories, and I had a great time at the shows meeting people, and just shows what great community spirit us luders (current and ex-owners!) still have

:ugeek:
