Gents,
I will soon need to buy a new exhaust for my car and I am looking at available options.
Realistically I cant afford a top end exhaust like Spoon so I was looking at more affordable alternatives, one being Japseed and the other being Megan.
Has anyone had any experience with Megan racing particularly their exhausts? I am assuming its a rip off of Mugen.
The exhaust is working out at about £250 but im assuming I will need to add delivery and possibly an import duty on top of that which will bump up the price.
Cheers in advance

I'd be much more tempted to go to a local place who could make you a stainless cat back, and get some prices from them. From experience, the Megan and Japspeed stuff isn't amazing.

I have enquired about a few local places who can to a custom exhaust for £250 - £300 dependent upon if I want a decat. However when speaking to them in more detail the ones which are based in the Midlands don't seem to mandrel bend they exhaust, and instead pressure bend it.
I am a bit concerned about the bore being reduced if its pressure bended.
I am not replacing the exhaust for a few months in any case, so if a decent branded second hand one came up for sale then that's an option I am happy to consider.

I looked at the Megan too, I'm in the states and thought about shipping one back.... The consensus suggests, they were not so good when they first started doing these, BUT the new ones are very good. So it could be a Cost efficient option, I've not seen my ludes exhaust or the condition of it, but I was pondering on this as a potential. Can't be worse than power flow.. And u have something different.... That maybe very good! I like gambling tho

the quality of the Megan stuff has certainly improved but for £250 plus delivery you could buy a really good secondhand one or have a good one made up

@rudelude - It may work out cost effective dependent upon what the import duty and delivery will be. I might send them an email and see what they say or alternatively, if other folks on here are interested then it might be an idea to do a group buy and see if they can discount the price.
@mercutio - Yes mate I totally agree with the second hand purchase. If a reputable name exhaust came up second hand then its definitely worth considering and most likely and option I will take.
Where can I get a good exhaust made up that wont be a pressure bent system? I don't mind travelling for it.
