The Lude is to be awaken

After two years of hibernation I am gently awaking my Lude from sleep. The last thre years has seen her doing only 168KM.
I have neglected her for the Soarer(shame) Before her slumbers she was resprayed, serviced and Rob put in a complete 5th Gen sunroof assembly and there she sat.
Jenny had been diagnosed with a degenerative arthritic hip and could not drive it or the Soarer so it sat in peace, always taxed insured and MOT'd. Well the bloody NHS had misdiagnosed her and a simple injection from a private hospital has got her out of her wheelchair and walking so she can now use the car( that original diagnosis has cost me a stairlift, bathlift wheelchair and god knows what else, still water under the bridge now!)

So back to the Lude and what is needed. I had a new battery put on(the other was 2005 vintage) and she burst into life since October2015.

Good bits
Paintwork unmarked except for some rust on the rear arches(I have new ones which will be fitted in the next month or two.
Most things work.
I have moved her six feet to free the brakes(I left it in park but the discs freed off

Bits that need some attention
Outside nil except the arches which I mentioned and a good clean and polish.
Running gear maybe brake discs I will see if the rust comes of first

Electrical bits
Interior light does not work
Climate control is sluggish

Interior
Left hand dashboard speaker has disintegrated
Ariel will not retrect the last 3-4 inches
Grey plastic on the sex blocker is watermarked and will not clean
Still need someone to fix the plastic headlining at the rear(ring any bells Rob? )

Chassis
Still dropping rusty water from front of the car. Garage guy said it was coming from the front cross member and he squirted some oil in it last year. What the friggin hell he was on about I don't know. If I get down on the ground to look I will never get up again!!!!!

Lastly a good service and fluid change and I hope that's it.

BTW don't ask for pictures as I have a Camera, new computer and other gismo's but have no idea howto use any of it. If you want pictures someone rock round and take them! :D

Hi bud. If you can get the lude to Chippenham along with cash for service parts, I'll gladly clamber around and give it a service for you.

Thankyou that is a very kind offer which I will remind you of nearer the time. I will try and sort some of the nit picks out first
then I will come and see you. It would be nice for some one who knows Ludes inside out as you do as you would probably spot something my garage would not.
