Boot lid wont stay up
Ok gents im going to speak in very technical language...
Please try and keep up.
I need the clip thingy that holds the 2 rods together in the boot, so when I open the boot it holds its up.
I somehow snapped mine over the weekend as the rods seems to rub together when the boot was opened. It resulted in the clip snapping.
Does anyone know the proper name for it, or if anyones breaking a car, can you please quote me a price.

It's ref 29 if you scroll down the page.
Part number - PFKL804618
Price - £4.66
You're better off getting a new one to be honest. I ordered one myself a few weeks ago for the exact same problem.
Used the website a few times now and pretty quick delivery..

If you delete "_pfk" from the Lings web address, you will get the proper Honda part numbers. The modified link showing proper Honda part numbers is:

This could well be the problem with the Legend.
If I'm parked facing uphill, the boot lid wont stay open.
The Legend has a cord and hook which holds the boot liner up when accessing the spare wheel. The first time I used this, the boot lid came down and almost knocked me out

Thread revival!!
I went to get the clip sorted over the weekend and when the actual clip that holds the boot up snapped, it pulled which has now made the holes in the metal bigger.
The boot clip has 2 clips one and the hole for the top one is now too large so the clip will not stay in.,
Has anyone come across this problem and if so what remedies did you make to fix it?
Thanks
Ranj

Similar problem to me. A 'friend' manhandled a suitcase in or out of my boot, the clip was put under pressure and actually caused a fracture / crack between the two holes. I have fabricated a repair using the original clip, a metal clip and metal CV boot band. I'll post up a photo sometime.
