Some other things I have learned about them this evening
1. You have to be incredibly thin if you work in an office block:
2. In amongst a celebration of all things marble:

They like to ensure that they remain anatomically correct:

Wait until you've ridden an Italian motorcycle,
Incredible, but ridiculously unreliable.
And if you can't ride it fast because you're frightened that it may fall apart then what's the point?

A few more motoring related points of note from the napoli area.
They don't drive Alfa's. Seriously, I have seen more Citroen C5s than Alfa's)
They buy Pandas, not 500's.
Hyundai's and ice cream apparently go well together:

Electric mopeds are popular but an absolute menace - can't hear the damn things zoom up behind you in the pedestrian areas.
Hybrid cars, are not a big thing (only seen my first one today - which was an insight, so at least they have taste in which ones they buy

)

I've just spent two weeks on Sardinia. Over there, the Max Power car scene is alive and well. Stopped at a wee coastal village called
Torre Grande and the whole front was taken up with crap like this:
Oh how we laughed ...
