Well went into kwic fit today as thought I had a loose exhaust bracket as exhaust is rattling
They put the car up on the ramp and told me that rattling was due to the catalytic converter being knackered and that the rattling was being caused by bits of it being blown into the centre section of the exhaust
Anyway quoted me £440.00 to fix it and I told them I would think about and drove away
Checked euro car parts new cat £62.00 and centre section £110.00
And will fit it myself
Where do Kwik fit get their prices?

i bought and sold a 5th gen last year - it had a receipt for for over £900 for a full exhaust (excluding manifold) from kwik fit

pretty sure it was a bosal system they fitted.
just a warning the cat bolts can be difficult to remove
id be happy to give you a hand if you need or you could consider taking it to
@3rd gen steve at his garage in pencaitland

No problem. Just give me a shout and we can stick it up on the ramp and take a look.
