Just saw a very nice low mileage imported Japanes Prelude vti with usual Japanese extras etc.

What's the situation re value (vs UK Cars), insurance and servicing?

Good advice would be helpful

I have never noticed much of a difference in price between UK and JDM. I found that the insurance for JDM cars was slightly higher. For any Prelude other than the Type-S getting parts for JDM Ludes is not a problem as they use the same bits as UK Preludes (with some minor exceptions). After all, all Preludes were built in Japan.

Merlins right and only other thing to consider really is that Japanese imports normally run on the higher octane petrol such as shell v power which means extra cost when filling up :)

which generation of prelude are you looking at buying 4th or 5th gen?

Thanks Damon.

Lovely car but a bit OTT for me!

Would need to sort rust , but price reflects that.
