Hello peeps
Does anyone know where I can get a crank pulley bolt and a woodruff key in Birmingham.
Car spares don't seem to sell them.
If my pulley is fine is it still worth getting these 2 things changed?
Also to put the woodruff key in, does the crank need to be opened. Basically is this a long ass or money consuming job?

Are you considering changing it for the sake of changing it or does the crank pulley need to come off for another job?

I'd buy brand new from Honda. It isn't that expensive. They should be able to get it in 2 days.
All the woodruff key does is stop the crank pulley from rotating on the snout of the crank shaft. You insert the woodruff key and then put the bolt in.
Your failure is either loose bolt or failed crank pulley. You would be best to find out what has happened before you spend money on anything. Have you put your hand down and had a feel of the crank pulley or bolt yet?

if the pulley has come off then you will need to check the keyway for damage and i would fit a new woodruff key for sure. If the woodruff key isnt a tight fit then the pulley will need replaced.
normally you wouldnt need to replace the bolt but the manual says you should. You can always add a dab of threadlock to a used bolt.
im getting ready to do the belts on my BB1 so ive got a woodruff key and bolt if you need something urgently- the woodruff key is new and the bolt is used - both parts are 4th gen.
i think the woodruff key is about £8 odd and the bolt is approx £16 from Honda.

@merlin - the bolt is loose - I can turn it by hand.
@vanzep - the pulley hasn't come off at all mate, its still on the car. I just mentioned the woodruff and crank bolt as im changing the belts so if I need them I would get them.
I don't know how long I was driving the car when the belt slipped. Im hoping I haven't damaged the crank.
If the crank is damaged how can one tell. There was no difference to how the car drove to be honest.

Don't by the belts from Honda, only the bolt and key.
You can get the belts from any where:
Air conditioning pump and alternator belt - 6pk 1043
Power steering pump belt - 4pk 1020
