Lude Generation

as we all no there is no real storge room in a 4th gen for cds so i really need to put my music onto a flashdrive / memory stick , my question is after trying to transfer it using windows 10 which seems to take an age to move a few songs is there a piece of software or program that makes this moving a doddle and easy to use or is it me being a computer idiot thats making this a long winded job , i am talking about moving probably 100+ cds so then if i get a pound for every cd i no longer need this money goes in the lude fund

I found it easier to just download my stuff, rather than rip and convert.

I'm sure if you Google you'll find loads of one click softwares that'll do what you want though.

i did try google but sometimes i like to no what others have used and tried that works , which sites are you using to download from ????

I have just converted my collection of 200+ cd albums to digital.

My whole music collection is now apple Lossless (alac) mp4 and I have transferred it onto a 256gb iPod classic for the van and a 256gb sd card is my tablet for the Prelude to be played in Android poweramp.

I use iTunes to rip the music of the cds. Take around 10-15mins per CD for alac files. Some cds have corrupted during burning and need redoing.
ITunes to iPod is self explanatory.

To the SD card I just transferred the folder from the itunes folder in program files.
200 albums in Lossless format took around 4 hours to transfer.

I did all this over a few weeks a few hours at a time as its quite tedious.

Windows Media player has an easy to use rip option.

Rip the CDs and then drag and drop the MP3s once converted.

I've got an awesome tag programme for naming the tracks so it shows up properly for downloaded MP3s too, I'll try and remember to fire up the pc when I'm sober and put details up.

What SD card Ratty? You can get some that can transfer something like .5 gig per sec.

what i really wont to do is put all my cds on me computer then choose all my fav tracks to then put onto a flashdrive or memory card or whatever is the best thing to put them on so i can play them in the lude via the usb socket on my headunit

Actually it was a 200gb card. Cost £75. I wanted a high transfer rate and reliability.
