been keeping a keen eye on the price of 4th gens and it seems they arent worth nothing at the moment which has kinda put me off doing anything with my project one in the hope of getting it running to sell on as it seems its worth less then its cost me to get the engine running not that it is running yet but its very close now , let alone the purchase cost including collection trouble is i havent really got the room to get it up and sorted then keep it in the hope prices rise :(

I'm no longer in the UK but I thought prices were rising, well I was hoping they were .... I think we as enthusiast should start a price hike, bollocks to the civic fan boys wanting to rip em apart for the engines  ;)

I can't see 4G and 5G prices going any lower. Yet again, we could end up kicking ourselves because we parted with them at the bottom of the curve.

On the other hand, if all you wanted to do was to get it ready for sale, you're right. Not worth it right now. It'd be good if you could find the space ...

The prices are rising. We all know you can't make money on them if you're doing them up to sell mind :)

Hi Guys,

Preludes are not currently an economic commercial proposition. Cheaper to sell off as spare parts! Buy it because you want to and enjoy the best car for under 3 Grand you can buy!

However supplies of good Preludes are finite and eventually when 90's cars come under the microscope the Prelude will start to be appreciated and reflected in prices.

We need to promote the car on line and at at every opportunity, if only to stop the "spare parts" gangs.

I used to own a Triumph Stag (will try and put pics up sometime) which I restored to Concour's standard and due to promo efforts of the club I sold for a six figure sum.

Be patient young bucks!

SIX figures for a Stag? That's astonishing!
The highest asking price I've seen was just under £40K and most are doing well if they get anywhere near half that price.

thing is i havent really got the room to hang onto 2 preludes so i can see it might end up a breaker after all or will be sold at a loss , i have watched two 4th gens go for less than £500 the pair this week

Hi there,

Are you planning on selling one of your cars at some point? I still hope to own a 4th gen in black or phantom grey.
