any plumbers on here ?????

Post by firstlude » Mon Oct 30, 2017 8:54 pm

not really being up with the ins and outs of plumbing i am currently revamping my bathroom and wishing to tidy the pipework up now the 15mm and 22mm pipes are not a problem its the waste pipework i cant get my head round , i wont to tee the waste from the sink into the waste from the bath but being a old property the pipework appears to be inch and three quarter and i can find every size bar this , i am happy to replace the pipes from the bath and sink to a modern size but will still need to connect to the current inch and three quarter , i am hoping its just me not really being sure what i need hence why i cant find it :?

Get down to Screwfix; they'll sort you out.

(Marsh Barton or Taunton for you, I guess.)

Is the 1 3/4 inch the outside diameter? If so, what's the ID?

so after not being able to track down any sort of adapter i decide another plan is going to be needed , so picture this i am sat on the bathroom floor with a tape measure , ruler and my veriner thinking the wall is going to need a hole in it to get to the soil pipe how small can i make it to gain access , after measuring the waste pipe one more time with the veriner for some reason i then measure the veriner gap with the ruler only to find out the two sizes dont match , turns out the veriner has added 5 and a bit mill for some reason onto the size so its not inch and three quater but inch and a half , needless to say the veriner went out the window cause dont matter what i did with it even a new battery it still wonts to add extra

I guess that means you can get an adaptor now?

Isn't there some way you can reset the vernier to zero when it's closed?
