So I need a cash injection to fix my car and want to sell my motegi badge, I don’t like all the cloak and dagger pm stuff only to see it end up on eBay having been bought by someone who simply wants to make a profit on it, so can I post a for sale ad auction style with a deadline insisting all offers are made on open chat?

parts for sale on the forum are normally offered at a lower price than on ebay so if you want the most buyers to see it and get the highest price then ebay is your best bet
these badges normally go for between £60-£80 on the forum

Product(in your case a badge)
Picture (with your name on it with item)
Price,What you want for it, This is not an auction site.We do not want members gazumping one another here as it may cause hard feelings.
We also offer you no protection here it is purely a service between members and we will not get drawn into problems if things go wrong. Having said that if we find out that a member is defrauding another in buying or selling they will be shown the door if it persists.

Ok, I just thought it was a fairer way of offering a rare item rather than first dibs getting it. Could be in the new year but I’ll post on here when it’s on eBay in case anyone wants to bid

i like to think that items for sale on here are done to keep other ludes alive not done so someone makes a profit that to me is the family friendly nature of a forum

I agree totally and it’s because I’d prefer the badge go to a genuine enthusiast on here that I asked about an auction here. On previous forums with peeps like yourselves I had a bad experience where I sold a rare item assuming it had gone to an enthusiast but he just sold it on eBay to some yank for a profit. Annoyed me because I could have just done that myself but thought I was helping out a genuine UK enthusiast, too much of our good stuff ends up in the US
