Hi Guys,

This is from another forum I'm on. A guy on there has a daughter at University and she's doing a dissertation on men's psychological health over the ages. All entries welcome and personally i think this is pretty worthwhile subject matter.

Please do your stuff to help out?

Text below is pasted from his thread on that forum;
My daughter Robyn is in her last year of a Applied Social Sciences degree at Aberdeen Robert Gordon’s university Aberdeen.

She is currently involved in a dissertation about the psychological wellbeing of males in relation to age and body image. She has chosen this subject as it has not been researched before and she is hoping to come up with some ground breaking results. She is trying to get as large a selection and cross section of males as possible in order to make the study meaningful.

I was wondering if you might be interested in Taking part in the study? As you will see from her introduction, the voluntary study is completely confidential with only Robyn and her tutor being able to access personal details. The responses will be completely destroyed when the study Is over and the results published.

The survey is easily completed in 5 minutes and actually makes you think about the way you think about yourself.

Should you wish to participate or if you have any questions, please email Robyn directly at her email addresses in the folowing link.

Thanks for your time,

Chris & Robyn

Could be interesting to see what she comes up with.

I'm surprised, though, that it's 'not been researched before'. It's the sort of thing the American Psychological Association would have a go at.

[I couldn't get the link to work.]

Good topic and I'd love to do it. I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as Sailor, and couldn't get it to link to the survey.

Argh, looks like it hasn't copied/pasted correctly. It's the annoying way that particular forum handles long URL's in posts :roll: :evil: Hang on...

Right, hopefully fixed now - try that please :D

I've done it but I honestly believe she is barking up the wrong tree to be honest, linking wellbeing in men to body image is tenuous at best. I truly believe most men are unhappy as they struggle to fit into todays feminist driven society and are programmed from an early age to believe that being a man is wrong.

The questions also clearly come from a female mindset (I feel this, I feel that....) and they must be unhappy because of their physical appearance (which is a feminine position).

My 2p's worth.
